Extraordinary design from Croatia presented in UK

Croatian Times

Croatian design organisations have teamed up with London’s Royal College of Arts to help  people working with socially-marginalised groups.

Working alongside the RCL’s Helen Hamlyn Centra, members of the Croatian Designers Orginisation and the University of Zagreb’s School of Design have been holding workshops with groups such as the ZVONO centre for young people with learning difficulties and helping them to use co-design to produce a range of sustainable products to help with their economic self-sufficiency.

The work created is now going on show at the British Council’s London office as part of a six-month Welcome Croatia Festival, welcoming Croatia into the EU.

The UK/Croatia Extra/ordinary Design Workshops exhibition runs until 27 January at British Council Gallery, 10 Spring Gardens, London SW1A.
