If you've got to go, you may as well go in style.

That's why coach builders in Padua, Italy, have spent 500,000 GBP rebuilding a Rolls-Royce Phantom limo to turn it into the world's most luxurious hearse.

The state of the art funeral car - codenamed B12 - will be officially unveiled at the international Tan Expo funeral dirctors' show in Bologna, Italy, on Friday (march 23).

Complete with a 6.75 litre V-12 engine, the aluminium bodied limo is lined with leather, walnut and gold and has been stretched to a coffin-swallowing 23ft.

"No-one wants to make that last journey, but when you have to you couldn't find a better way of getting there," said a spokesman for the firm.
