This runaway kangaroo kept police on the hop in Luneburg, Germany, when he fled from a circus through the city centre.
Astonished motorists pulled over and dialed police as the runaway roo hopped through the rush hour traffic.
"I saw something in my rear view mirror and I thought it was a motorbike trying to over take me. When it got closer I nearly crashed the car in surprise," said one.
Police and circus staff eventually managed to recapture the marsupial when it stopped to rest in a school playground.
"He was a bit stressed but otherwise healthy," said a police spokesman.
