Pizza Dough

croatiantimes.com

Chef Ismail Ertekin has created what he claims is the ultimate in pizza dough - a dish served with a topping of pure gold.

The luxury snack - served at his restaurant Avanto in Zurich, Switzerland - uses shavings of 24 carat edible gold to give the meal extra sparkle.

And Ismail, 50, reckons the precious metal can even boost your health as well as your wealth.

"Gold is one of the oldest medical treatments in the history of mankind. Gold can really help the immune system," he explained.

Now the 14 GBP-a-time dish is being snapped up by locals and visitors.

"This is Zurich, the home of multi-millionaire bankers. A few more of my pizzas and they really will be fat cats," joked Ismail.
