The Angelina Jolie lookalike 'rapist' accused of holding a cabbie at knife point for sex was really the victim of an assault by the driver, her mother has told police investigating the attack.
Taxi driver Nicolae Stan, 34, claims that stunning Luminita Perijoc forced him to have sex after he dropped off packages at her apartment in Tuleca, Romania.
Now the Tomb Raider star fan's mum Tudora Ifrim has revealed that she had been defending herself after the cabbie had attacked her.
"After he helped her with some shopping bags, Luminita invited him into her kitchen, for a glass of wine," she told local media.
"She went to the bedroom to get some money and pay him, she came back and then he jumped her.
She doesn’t remember what happened. She defended herself the best that she could," she added.
But she confirmed her daughter's explosive temper.
"She once beat me up, and her step-father and then she threatened us with a knife," she said.
Brunette Luminita, 30, is currently being held in a psychiatric clinic after Stan dialed 999 from her apartment begging police to rescue him.
He claimed she'd repeatedly stabbed him with a knife when he failed to satisfy her after she'd demanded oral and full sex from him.
Police believe she may have been suffering hallucinations from high strength painkillers she was taking following an operation.
Now Stan says he's being taunted by people who don't believe his story.
"They look at her, then look at me an laugh. But I think anyone would find it impossible to perform with a knife at their throat even if they were with Miss Romania," he said.
