Newlyweds Li Sun and Hen Wu ran off with a brand new 200,000 GBP flat - after winning a bizarre wife carrying contest in southern China.
Sun - seen here upside down in pink tracksuit trousers - and hubby Wu scooped the prize after winning a series of heats in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, staged by local property developers.
"I can't believe we won. My wife has such a wonderful, trim figure I could carry her all day," said loyal Wu.
The couple beat 16 other finalists with a winning time of 21.54 seconds over 100 metres.
Organisers said they staged the event to help young couples finding it tough to buy their first home.
"We wanted to help at least one couple achieve their dream," said a spokesman.
