Martinac in Bjelovar-Bilogorje County is where well-known Croatian artist and author Vlado Franjevic, who lives in the Principality of Liechtenstein, was born.
After Mass at St. Martin’s Chapel on 11 November, St. Martin’s feast day, Franjevic will read poems from a new book published with the support of Cazma’s Culture Centre and its chief Jadranka Kruljac-Sever.
The book’s title is "Vlado Franjevic’s Improvisation – Rajka Poljak’s Interpretation," and it means the book features Franjevic’s poems and Poljak’s text. Poljak is also the co-uthor of the Encyclopedia "Croats in the World".
On 14 November, Franjevic will read his poems in the Cazma public library after Damir Posa’s concert.
The next day, at Zagreb book fair "Interliber", Franjevic will receive a prize for his poetry.
Franjevic is one of 44 artists featured in the book "Almanac of Contemporary Fine Art 2008, Liechtenstein," which was published by the Association of Liechtenstein Professional Fine Artists BBKL.LI.
