United World Colleges is offering scholarships to Croatian students

Croatian Times

United World Colleges (UWC) is offering three scholarships to Croatian students for two-years of high-school education in Italy, Canada and the USA.

Scholarship recipients will attend a program of international matriculation in English from 2009 to 2011.

Applicants must be in their second or third year of high school at a school with a gymnasium program, be Croatian citizens and have a grade average of at least 4.3.

All high schools with gymnasium programs in Croatia have received proper documentation for applications. Only two students per school may apply for a scholarship.

UWC Croatia said selection of scholarship recipients would be based on independence, responsibility, versatility and readiness to learn and familiarise oneself with other cultures.

Over 100 Croatian students have attended UWC schools worldwide since 1979.

The deadline for applications is 10 April.

More information is available at website www.uwc.hr

United World Colleges is a global educational organisation that brings students together from all over the world at one of twelve United World Colleges (UWC).
