Cold play: world record

croatiantimes.com

At more than 25ft high, he thaw is something to celebrate.

But with Spring heading towards Europe this new bid for the Guinness World Record for the world's tallest snowman won't be around for long.

It took 10 days to make him in Staja, Romania, and locals reckon he's head and shoulders above the current record holder which comes in at more than six feet shorter.

Now organisers are desperately trying to arrange for Guinness bosses to view the icy giant before he melts away to nothing.

"It took a lot of work and it would be nice to see it recognised. His scarf is three sheets tied together and his carrot nose is a tree trunk painted orange," said one.
