Viv Westwood trousers new award

British fashion icon Vivienne Westwood is to be made an ambassador of lederhosen at a special ceremony this month.
The designer - whose husband Andreas Kronthaler is Austrian - has spoken up for the country's traditional costumes like Heidi-style dresses and aprons called dirndls.
"There would be no ugliness in the world if all wore dirndls," she once said.
Organisers Gexi and Anna Tostmann said Dame Vivienne will be at the bash in Vienna on March 24 to collect her gong.
