Record-breaking mum Hania has no time to paws - after giving birth to an amazing litter of 17 pups.

Hania - a prize-winning four-and-half-year-old pedigree short haired pointer - has set a new European record with her haul of eight boys and nine girls at her owners' home in Nowej Iwiczna, Poland.

Now proud owner Gabriel Kubalska, 29, is working round the clock to help exhausted Hania with the feeding.

"She had to have a caesarean section and she is feeling fine now, but isn’t able to feed them all so I help out. It takes half an hour to feed them all - six times a day. The puppies' dad Figaro is walking around looking pretty pleased with himself," Kubalska explained.

He added: "We think they're all beautiful, but some of them are already showing their mum's prize winning form."
