Train Makes The Strain

croatiantimes.com

Training has taken on a new meaning for members of Romanian side Otelul Galati which were knocked out of the play offs for the Champions league last autumn when they took on Manchester United.

The team have now been stranded for over a day on a train that is wedged in a snowdrift after setting off from Galati to Bucharest.

Due to heavy snow the train was wedged in tight and the nine players on board forced to spend the day stuck in the snowdrift miles from the nearest village.

They were supposed to get to Bucharest airport to leave for Spain following the rest of the team that already left earlier today (Tuesday).

In normal condition, the journey from Galati to Bucharest takes 4 hours.

The nine players Alejandro Viglianti, Cristian Sarghi, Silviu Ilie, Samoel Cojoc, Valentin Munteanu, Cristian Branet, Cornel Rapa, Ionuț Neagu and Sergiu Costin had been allowed home to see their families.
