He might not be quite ready for the London Olympics, but veteran swimmer Vasily Krapivin struck gold when he took first place at a tournament in Sochi, Russia.
Admittedly, the qualifying age group - 100 plus - narrowed down the field to just Vasily himself, who won his medal while an ER crash team looked on from the side of the pool.
His time - 25 metres in 50 seconds - might not put him on the podium in London this summer, but he said: "I'm now in training for some world records."
"I'm 100 years old now and I've survived World War I, World War II, two revolutions and 25 years in a gulag.
"I survived and I won today because I believe in myself," he added.
