A self-styled gypsy prince says he's going to knock Kate Middleton's royal wedding day Barbie doll off the best-selling list with his own toy version of a Roma bride.
Dorin Cioaba - who's dad Florin claims he is the rightful Roma king in Sibu, Romania - has created a figure in traditional gypsy dress after claiming that Western-style dolls are racist.
"They impose a style and a look that is not our own. We are taking that back," he explained.
The 25 GBP doll - named Lulica - has already outsold every other type of doll in Romania's gypsy strongholds.
Now Dorin is to create a groom called Barbulica to complete the set.
"Barbie have a Prince William and Kate couple that sells for three times our price.
"So we will soon be exporting our couple to Britain where we know you have lots of Roma communities," he added.
