Piggy Bank

Marija Andric

This wild boar was definitely snout of order when he broke into a bank in Austria after battering down the door with his tusks.

The massive pig was only spotted on the bank's security camera system when cleaners noticed strange marks on the door and mud everywhere the next morning.

"When we looked at the CCTV footage we saw what had happened but we couldn't understand why it had wanted to get in," said bank worker Josef Fux in Bruck an der Leitha.

Wildlife experts say the boar may have charged the glass door because he saw his own reflection and mistook it for a rival male.

"Boars can be very aggressive when they're foraging for food. It would charge another male because he'd see him as a competitor.

"We've all heard of bank charges but this is a the real thing," said one.
