Im the Daddy

croatiantimes.com

Would be dad Tan Wanxing tried for two decades to father a baby - and then seven came along in just five years.

Farmer Tan, 47 - from Honggu, near Chongqing city, southern China - had been teased by friends and neighbours for years after his first marriage resulted in no children.

Then, after finding wife number two Xin He, the couple were astonished after two pairs of twins arrived in 2004 and then 2006, followed by a set of triplets in 2009.

"I thought I would never be a father - now I can't stop," said baffled Tan.

Now local council officials have agreed to step in to help fund the youngster's upkeep.

"I am not a wealthy man and seven children is a blessing, but also an expensive one," said Tan.
