Rescuers watch on in horror as a giant pleasure cruiser shaped like a golden palace sinks on China's Yellow River as sightseers leap for their lives.
The palace - cruising the river banks in Wuzhong city, northern China - can be hired privately by wealthy local VIPs for luxury cultural tours of the region.
Three of the seven passengers on board the boat - known locally as a Huangfang - are missing, presumed drowned. Four swan to safety, say officials.
"It happened very quickly, there was nothing anyone could do," said one river official after the sinking on Sunday night (Aug 19).
