Daredevil Sonja Becker's bid to paddle an inflatable dinghy nearly 200 miles from Germany to Holland has been a real let down after coastguards forced her to scrap the stunt.
Sonja, 26, had vowed to paddle the rubber boat along the River Rhine to the Netherlands after a bet with pals.
But she was forced ashore when coastguards boarded her dinghy in Iffezheim, Germany, and told her she'd probably die if she carried on with the trip.
Police spokesman Marcel Pertinac said: "She was in a lot of danger. This is a very busy shipping route with a lot of traffic."
"The dinghy would have gone under without being able to move quickly enough to get out of the way," he added.
"Sonja's very disappointed. She'll do anything for a dare," explained one friend.
