Hogging the Limelight

Marija Andric

These adorable youngsters are hogging all the limelight at an animal refuge centre after they were found on a building site.

The pair - believed to be just three days old - had apparently been abandoned by their mum and would have had just hours to live if they had not been rescued, say experts in Strasshof, Austria.

Now the two - who still haven't opened their eyes after their birth - are expected to make a full recovery thanks to round the clock bottle feeds by staff at a wildlife refuge centre.

The tiny creatures - smaller than a human finger - will be returned to the wild when they are old enough.

'They're still very small but they are healthy and putting on weight," said a refuge spokeswoman.
