Student Camp-us

croatiantimes.com

Chinese students have been breaking into their university lecture rooms at night to guarantee themselves a seat during next day's lessons.

The study rooms in Qingdao University in east China’s Shandong province are in hot demand from the thousands of students enrolled there.

People have broken in climbing through library windows and some have camped out at the door to ensure a prime spot for the next day's lectures.

Wang Su a post graduate said: "I have years of experience here and I know what to do to get the best seat. You have to be there early and act quickly.

"In my first year I didn't know and could never secure a seat. But now I know the tricks.

"If you secure the seat on the first day, it is yours for the whole semester so it is extremely important you get there first.

"News students who arrive late often get the worst seats or cannot get a place in the lecture theatre. People will go to all lengths to ensure they get a seat.
