This baker in central China really takes the biscuit - after cooking up this massive version of a traditional mooncake to celebrate the arrival of Autumn.

Mooncakes - made to celebrate China's Zhongqiu Festival - usually measure just four inches from edge to edge.

But this monster - whipped by chefs in Sanmenxia, Henan province - weighs in at a ton and took 10 cooks three days to make it, and then another five hours to bake it.

And the price could be even harder to swallow at 2,600 GBP.

"It is a very special delicacy at a very special price which will bring great honour to the buyer," said a spokesman for the grocery store selling it.

Families traditionally make mooncakes at this time of year throughout China to celebrate unity.
