It Must Be Dove

croatiantimes.com

Baffled bank customers in eastern China wondered what the flock was going on - when security guard Du Jinqian recreated dozens of his favourite birds in snow.

Du - from Hangzhou, Zhejiang province - spent hours sculpting the life-sized models after a blizzard.

"I use paper, sticks, nuts or strawberries for eyes and beaks, whatever comes to hand," explained Du.

"My favourite bird is the dove so I did lots of those and then I made goose because they're supposed to be good guards, just like me.

"One thing my job gives me is plenty of time when nothing much is happening.

"So I thought I'd do something to cheer people up.

"Plenty of people make snowmen but I've never seen a flock of birds before," he added.

Delighted bank officials have now asked Du if he could do ice sculptures for them at their next big event.

"Our customers love these birds and we would like to make the most of this man's talent," explained a spokesman.
