The Split chocolate "Nadalina" produced by Marinko Biskic won a prestigious award at the Eco-Ethno Croatia fair held from 14 to 18 October in Zagreb.
"Nadalina" chocolate that comes in 10 different flavours was awarded the "Golden Plaquettes" as the best product.
Despite that Nadalina had already won an award for its packaging design in the USA, Biskic said he had been surprised by the Eco-Ethno award.
He said: "I am delighted by the recognition but also very surprised because this year’s fair featured a lot of original and very-attractive domestic food products. I was also surprised by the very-positive criticism of my chocolate."
Beside chocolate, "Nadalina" also has various kinds of spices on offer. All its products are on sale only in Croatia.
The exhibition featured traditional products along with the tasting of traditional food and beverages and folk music.
