Dubrovnik among British Airways´ top 10 destinations for 2010

British Airways travel experts have included Dubrovnik among its top ten destinations in 2010.

Cape Town, Istanbul, Las Vegas , Vancouver, Punta Cana, New York , Stockholm, the Maldives and New Delhi are also on the list. Cape Town is in first place.

Dubrovnik, which is ranked sixth, Stockholm and Istanbul are the only European destinations on the list.

The airline says: "Known as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic,’ Croatia offers privacy and tranquillity, making it a popular hideout for the jet set, including recent visitors Jay-Z and Beyonce."

Mirjana Dostal, British Airways commercial manager in Croatia, said: "Dubrovnik has many attractions, including delightful boutiques, with each corner of the city offering a unique experience. However, its cluster of private islands have made it a new favourite destination for get-aways by Hollywood A-Listers."
