Russians interested in taking over OMV gas stations in Croatia

Bosnia and Herzegovina-based oil company owned by Russian Zarubeznjeft is considering taking over Austrian company OMV's gas stations in Croatia.

Optima is interested in taking over OMV's retail network due to excesses in its refineries in Bosanski Brod and Modrica and would like to expand in the region.

OMV has 63 stations in Croatia and 13 per cent market share, while it owns 28 stations (eight per cent market share) in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Zarubeznjeft founded Nestro Sava company in Croatia last year, through which it plans to intensify its presence on the Croatian market, Croatian Radio Television (HRT) reports.
