Big retail chains avoiding Croatia

For the third consecutive year Croatia is not on the list of attractive markets for retail investment. Croatia is nowhere to be seen again in the Global Retail Development Index published by Chicago-based management consulting firm A.T. Kearney.
The 2012 report shows that large retail chains are avoiding Croatia as a destination to open up stores in. It is not only Croatia in the region that large retail stores are avoiding. A.T Kearney's report shows that Hungary and Slovenia are also being bypassed, reported hina.hr.
Macedonia feared the best out of all the countries in the region, coming in at 21st position on the index.

Croatia to take part in building two pipelines
Representatives of the Governments of Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, and Bosnia and Herzegovina signed a memorandum highlighting their intention to construct two new pipelines - the Trans-Adriatic (Trans Adriatic Pipeline, TAP) and the Ionian-Adriatic (Ionian Adriatic Pipeline, IAP), the news agency RIA Novosti reports.
