Kids of Croatian immigrants in Ston harvesting salt

Salt harvesting began this week at Croatia's famous salt pans in Ston (Dubrovnik-Neretva County), and this year has been different than most. The harvesters this year are mainly young people with Croatian heritage from countries such as Canada, Mexico, South Africa and Holland.
The group, children from Croatian immigrants, have come to Ston via the "Eco Heritage Task Force" programme, reports website index.hr.
The "Eco Heritage Task Force" programme not only sees the group working at Europe's oldest salt pan, but it also sees them taking part in drama workshops, and having IT and Croatian language lessons.

Croatia to take part in building two pipelines
Representatives of the Governments of Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, and Bosnia and Herzegovina signed a memorandum highlighting their intention to construct two new pipelines - the Trans-Adriatic (Trans Adriatic Pipeline, TAP) and the Ionian-Adriatic (Ionian Adriatic Pipeline, IAP), the news agency RIA Novosti reports.
