Tourism Minister wants investment in important campsite sector

Croatian Times

Croatia's Tourism Minister Veljko Ostojic, has called for investment, better service and better promotion and marketing of Croatian campsites after meeting with representatives of the Croatian Camping Union (KUH) yesterday in Zaton, near the coastal town of Zadar.

Campsites make up 25 per cent of Croatia's tourist capacities. Campsites are needed for Croatian tourism and they are a great challenge, and because of that I repeat that investment in that segment can add a lot more quality to our toursim," said the Minister, adding that effective promotion is also required in bringing more tourists to camp sites.

Ostojic believes that investment, better quality facilities and service will prolong the camping season, meaning better results overall for the Croatian tourist season,
According to survey results, campsites this year have experienced 11 per cent growth on last year, reports website liderpress.hr.
