Government via Twitter: Send in tourism ideas and get money
Croatian Times
The Croatian government, via social media network Twitter, has invited all citizens with ideas for tourism projects to send in their ideas, with the winners recieving grants to start their projects. The competition is part of the "Inovative Tourism" project launched by the government to encourage innovation in tourism, reports dnevnik.hr.
Applications are open until 31 August and those eligible to enter include, companies, businesses, cooperatives, individuals registered in hospitality or travel services, travel agencies, public institutions, associations, clubs, sports and arts organisations and units of local government.
The Ministry of Tourism will finance up to 50 per cent of the costs of the project, to a maximum of 200,000 kuna (26,600 Euros) per project.
