More and more tourist cruise ships coming to Croatia

Croatian Times

It is not only the number of tourists staying in hotels, camp sites and private accommodation in Croatia that has grown this year, the number on board cruisers grew in the first six months on 2012 by 2.9 per cent, according to the latest figures which have been released.

The close to 3 per cent growth in cruisers to visit Croatia is expected to be higher once the tourist season is finally over. So far, in the Dalmatian city of Split, 220,000 guests on board cruisers have visited in the first seven months of the year, 40,000 more than in the whole of 2011.

Croatia's number one destination for cruise ships is Dubrovnik, on Sunday alone seven cruisers arrived in Dubrovnik port, carrying close to 10,000 tourists. The forecast for cruise ships arriving in Dubrovnik throughtout autumn is also very good, reports Croatian radiotelevision.
