First Croatian electric bike goes global

Croatian company Bioplanet have started selling their first electric bike designed for the global market, reports newspaper Poslovni dnevnik. The design of the electric bike combines a wide range of technical features required for a comfortable ride pedaling or using the electric 250W power motor, or the off-road 750W power variant.

The bike's battery has a capacity of 555 watt-hours which is provided through over 2,000 charge cycles, over five years of daily use. The bike is equiped with dual suspension front and rear forks, hydraulic disc brakes on both wheels, a 9-speed gearbox, front and rear safety lights, and 26 inch tyres.

The electric bike, with its average speed of 25km/h, can travel more than 40km. Two hours is required to recharge the battery once it it empty. The bike weighs 24kg and sells for 1,499 Euros on the global market, reports daily newspaper Vecernji list.
