Tangerine from Neretva valley to become a brand

Tangerines from the Neretva valley in southern Croatia are finally set to become a brand.
The move follows several years of negotiation with Agrofrutcus and is now in its final stages.
According to news website DubrovnikPress, talks between Agrofructus reps, prefect Nikola Dobroslavic and the acting Head of Rural Development and Agriculture Ivica Provic this week are expected to result in the necessary certificates being issued making the product Neretva Tangerine.
Estimates suggest that 150,000 tonnes of tangerines could be produced in the Neretva valley per year.
The majority of tangerines produced in the valley are exported to United Kingdom and Russia.
