Genos close to a prize and global commercialization of their diagnostic marker

Croatian company Genos are through to the finals of the prestigious "European Universal Biotech Innovation Prize."
The company nominated for its work on diabetes will now face competition from 5 others also through to the final.
Of the work they do, spokeswoman Stella Mihelj told the Croatian Times:
"Genos has patented antennary fucose as a diagnostic marker for MODY (maturity onset diabetes for the young) so it opens the possibility of global commercialisation."
Earlier this year Genos collaborated with the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism by performing analysis of 600 patients which enabled them to differentiate between different forms of diabetes.
