Public and private sector officials have met to discuss joint project financing in the Balkan states. Delegates attending the Financing Transport Infrastructure in South-East Europe and the Western Balkans conference in Dubrovnik said EU funds had been allocated to Poland for infrastructure projects thanks to PPP (Public Private Partnership) initiatives and that Croatia and other Balkan countries should do the same. "The subject of transport infrastructure is very attractive, not only at the level of investment, as it has a great importance for the vitality of the countries. During our conference Poland has been identified as the leading country in terms of transport infrastructure investments development in Southeast Europe due to larger population, greater cost-effectiveness of projects and strong growth prospects."- said Tom Popple, Project Manager EEL Events who organised the conference.
