Three year old saves granny´s life

Croatian Times

A three-year-old girl has been hailed a hero after she saved her grandmother’s life when she had a stroke.

Toddler Mihaela Cafut raised the alarm when she saw her 48-year-old granny Ivanka Novokmet fall unconscious at her home in Novo Selo, Vinkovci.

Police said today (Fri) the woman’s tongue had gone back in her throat and blocked her airway but Mihaela stayed calm and went to get her uncle who quickly called an ambulance, the daily "24 sata" reported.

The girl’s grandmother was taken to hospital where doctors say she is now making a recovery.

And they said that without Mihaela’s quick-thinking she would have died.
