Car crash survivor killed by train on way home

A 29-year-old who escaped a horrific car crash without a scratch was killed by a train as he walked home just hours later.

Boro Mandic had survived the high speed smash in Zagreb and headed home on foot after doctors who examined him in hospital said they were amazed he was completely unhurt.

But Boro’s worried mum called out cops when he still hadn’t returned hours later and they found his battered body near train tracks.

An investigation showed he had wondered onto tracks unaware of an oncoming express train. His mother believes that thick fog in area at the time had disoriented him.
