Dubrovnik left without electricity owing to fire
Croatian Times
Around 45,000 Dubrovnik and surrounding area residents were left without electricity because of a fire at main city substation Komolac last night (Tues/Weds).
The fire began at 7:30pm and ended at 9pm, but repairmen were still at work today.
Because of the outage, schools banks and shops were closed. The police are investigating the cause of the fire.
There is as yet no estimate of the amount of damage.
City Mayor Andro Vlahusic has informed Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor about the situation.

Police have found the body of a 49-year-old man in the hallway at the entrance to the parish house in Banici near the Damlatian city of Dubrovnik in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
