Police are searching after a 45-year-old man suffering from schizophrenia who ran away from Zagreb's Psychiatric Hospital Vrapce last Friday.
The patient, considered to be extremely dangerous, was hospitalized after he stabbed a person 25 times in October 2008 in Zagreb.
The daily 24 sata has reported the man escaped after Friday breakfast, but doctors cannot explain how that happened. They only noticed at noon that he was missing.
Vrapce has had up to two runaway patients a year, but the escapes have not had any serious consequences.
