Ministry of Foreign Affairs cannot account for 47 valuable paintings

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration has reported that 47 valuable paintings disappeared from Croatian embassies between 2000 and 2003.
It has found only eight of the missing paintings in Zagreb, Sarajevo and Warsaw.
It also reported that office furniture and other items were also missing at several embassies.
The Ministry informed the public after the State Audit Office announced the results of its inspection of the Ministry.
The value of the missing items is estimated to be 430,000 kunas or 59,000 Euros.
