I.S, a member of the Croatian security team at the Croatian embassy in Washington, has been spying on the husband of Croatian Ambassador Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic because she refused to extend his tour.
The Croatian media have reported that he took a photo of Jakov Kitarovic using an embassy car to take their children to school. He has sent the pictures to around 40 media outlets.
I.S. is under investigation by the Croatian and American secret services for spying. Police suspected I.S. because he allegedly told his colleagues about his plans.
The daily Jutarnji list has reported that the man acted like a real spy, following Jakov Kitarovic everywhere for days.
The ambassador has claimed there is nothing illegal in using an embassy car to take the children to school because in Spring Valley, where they live, there are no school buses or public transportation.
