Policemen arranged phoney accident to get insurance money

The Croatian anti-corruption agency (USKOK) has pressed charges against two policeman and four other people for causing an accident in order to get 50,000 kunas or 6,882 Euros in insurance compensation.
According to USKOK, one of them deliberately hit a tree with a car. Police made a false report about the accident although they knew it had not really been an accident.
The group also removed some original parts from the car and replace them with damaged ones in Zagreb and nearby Velika Gorica.
The insurance firm paid the car owner 50,000 kunas or 6,882 Euros.
All six men have been charged with abuse of office, the counterfeiting of official documents and fraud.
