HDZ and Split mayor sign coalition agreement

Croatian Times

Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and Split Mayor Zeljko Kerumís Croatian Citizensí Party (HGS) have formed a coalition in two electoral units in southern Croatia ahead of the parliamentary elections in December.

HDZ head and the current Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor said the two parties partnered up to win the elections.

"We want to win the parliamentary elections, we want to unite all who think in a Croatian way and for Croatia and to prove that there is electoral potential in the centre-right," Kosor said.

Kerum said the solution was a good one as both parties attracted similar voters.

"The most important precondition for the economic recovery is the continuation of this government that works well," Kerum said.
