Temperatures soar as heatwave hits Croatia

Croatia's Ministry of Health and the meteorological office have released a warning because of extreme heat and very high UV index as a heatwave hits the country. The Ministry says all citizens should avoid going out in the warmest part of the day, from 10 to 17 hours, and avoid strenuous physical work.
With summer still yet to officially start, temperatures have soared over the country and forecasters say that it is about to get hotter. In the Dalmatian coastal city of Split on Monday morning, temperaturs of 25 degrees celsius were recorded at 7am.
With temperatures expected to reach plus 38 degrees later in the week, citizens have been advised to drink plenty of fluids during the day, reported Croatian radio television.

Croatia to take part in building two pipelines
Representatives of the Governments of Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, and Bosnia and Herzegovina signed a memorandum highlighting their intention to construct two new pipelines - the Trans-Adriatic (Trans Adriatic Pipeline, TAP) and the Ionian-Adriatic (Ionian Adriatic Pipeline, IAP), the news agency RIA Novosti reports.
