Croatian island goes up for sale for 1.8 million Euros

The owners of a small island on the Dalmatian coast have put the island up for sale for 14 million kuna (1.8 million Euros), reports daily newspaper Slobodna Dalmacija.
Gornja Aba, which is located in the Zadar archipelago, is owned by Zeljko, Luka and Tena Tomljenovic. The Tomljenovic's brought the island a few years ago and have now put it on sale for around 10 Euros per square meter.
The first right to purchase the island, which is in between the island of Dugi otok and Kornati, goes to the state and the local council, but neither the Zadar county nor the local council of Sali have the funds, so the island may end up in foreign hands.
