Croatians hit the coast to enjoy 4-day holiday weekend

Traffic was busy, with queues in some places up to 2 kilometers long, on all roads leading to the Adriatic coast on Friday as Croatians made the most of the 4-day holiday weekend in the country and escaped to the sea, writes website dalje.com.
Croatians mark Anti-Fascism Day on Friday 22nd June, which commemorates the founding of the first armed antifascist forces in Croatia and occupied Europe during World War II, whilst on Monday 25 June the country celebrates Statehood Day.
Croatians also used the extended weekend holiday to head to the Adriatic coast and get some relief from the extreme heat as a heatwave engulfs the country. Temperatures in some parts of the country were expected to reach close to 40 degress on Friday.

Croatia to take part in building two pipelines
Representatives of the Governments of Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, and Bosnia and Herzegovina signed a memorandum highlighting their intention to construct two new pipelines - the Trans-Adriatic (Trans Adriatic Pipeline, TAP) and the Ionian-Adriatic (Ionian Adriatic Pipeline, IAP), the news agency RIA Novosti reports.
