NATO happy with Croatia's smart defence

Anders Fogh Rasmussen, NATO's Secretary General, says he is impressed with the way Croatia has embraced NATO's new "smart defence" concept, reported website Tportal.
"Croatia is already implementing an important example of smart defence as part of the Adriatic Charter - the training of police forces in Kabul, Afghanistan," said Rasmussen, about the new concept which was talked about at the recent NATO summit in Chicago.
Rasmussen, who arrives in Croatia today (Friday) to attend the 7th Croatia Summit in Dubrovnik, stressed to Croatia that it was also important that it had the necessary capacities at its disposal as the Croatian government debate whether to purchase new combat aircrafts or repair old ones.
