Croat hangs himself in Spanish jail

Zlatko Ugarkovic (43) from the Dalmatian town of Zadar, who was the leader of the secret criminal gang "La Triade" and arrested for attempting to smuggle 175 packets of cocaine from South America into Europe, has hung himself in a Madrid jail.
Urgarkovic was arrested in the middle of May and was awaiting extradition to Croatia. Urgakovic, who was considered the boss of the group arrested, travelled to the Dominican Republic personally where he arranged the delivery of the drugs with a senior member of the Columbian drug cartel.
From October 2011 investigators from Croatia, Holland, Dominican Republic, Italy, Slovenia, Spain and Grenada were following the activities of the criminal group, reported daily newspaper Slobodna Dalmacija.

Croatia to take part in building two pipelines
Representatives of the Governments of Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, and Bosnia and Herzegovina signed a memorandum highlighting their intention to construct two new pipelines - the Trans-Adriatic (Trans Adriatic Pipeline, TAP) and the Ionian-Adriatic (Ionian Adriatic Pipeline, IAP), the news agency RIA Novosti reports.
