US Ambassador leaves Croatia: 'Croatia does not need anymore help'

The American ambassador in Croatia James Foley, who's mandate in Croatia has come to an end, considers the fight against corruption and the strengthening of laws as his greatest achievements during his three years of service in Zagreb.
"I would like to thank former Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor for her cooperation and congratulate her on the history making achievements of her government, especially concluding negotiations with the European Union and the fight against corruption," said Foley, adding that Croatia does not need any further assistence in that field, but needs to export its experience to neighbouring countries.
Croatian President Ivo Josipovic thanked Foley for his time in the country and stressed that cooperation with the former government under Kosor and the Ambassador was excellent, as it is with the new government under Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic.
