21 foreigners in 24-hours attempt to enter Croatia illegally

In a 24-hour period on Sunday, and in six seperate incidences, police from the Vukovar - Syrmia county in Eastern Croatia arrested 21 foreign citizens for attempting to enter Croatia illegally, reports daily newspaper Vecernji list.
The 21 foreign citizens, including 12 from Afghanistan, 4 from Algeria, 2 from Pakistan, 2 from Syria and 1 from Mali, had entered via neighbouring Serbia
"Criminal investigations revealed that the foreign citizens illegally crossed the border into the Croatian state. The decision was made to prohibit their entry and processes are underway to have them sent back to Serbia," said police.
