Plane lands in sea amongst swimmers on island of Rab

It was pure luck that no swimmers were injured when a small seaplane landed in the sea at Banjol on the northern Adriatic island of Rab on Wednesday.
"I saw the aircraft falling and land in the sea. Luckily nobody was close. Swimmers around could not believe that the plane landed amongst them," a witness has told daily newspaper 24sata.
Police from the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County confirmed that the plane landed in the sea but were unsure if it was because the plane's motor failed or not. There was a pilot and co-pilot on board the seaplane, which had a Croatian registration, at the time of the landing. There were no injuries reported.
